Ms. J's Gym's First Mock Meet

Ms. J’s Gym is throwing it back to our first mock meet!
This past Tuesday, we had the honor of participating in a mock meet with the Yeshiva of Flatbush High School. This is Flatbush’s Athletic Program’s first competitive gymnastics team! The team is head by head coach, Lorelei Black.
The age difference of Ms. J’s Gymnasts in comparison to the high school gymnasts, helped motivate Ms. J’s younger gymnasts! The competition included Level 2 and Level 3 gymnasts. The girls competed on the Vault, the Balance Beam, and the Floor.
Ms. J’s gymnasts beamed with joy and pride throughout the competition. In many of the events, our gymnasts won multiple top places on the podium! Luna shined on the floor and placed first among Ms. J’s and Yeshiva’s gymnasts. Other Ms. J’s Gymnasts won the following places for their floor routines- Xena (2nd), Harlowe (3rd), Lucy (4th) and Iley (5th). Xena’s stellar beam performance won her first place with Luna placing in 2nd and Harlowe placing in 6th. Xena’s best event was the vault- placing 1st with a score of 9.8! The following vault winners were Kika (2nd), Luna (3rd), Harlowe (4th) and Morale (6th). All around stars were as follows: Xena (1st), Luna (2), Harlowe (3rd) and Kika (5th).
Ms. J’s Gym wants to thank the Flying Falcons for hosting the wonderful mock meet in their gym! Our gymnasts had an amazing time competing. Ms. J’s is so proud of all our gymnasts that performed on Tuesday! Big shoutout to Ever, Nico, Lavender, Lucy, Teja, Norale, Iley, Kika, Luna, Harlowe and Xena for competing and Maydyn for attending!
